If you type in the word “Adversity” in Google right now, you’ll get more than 78 million hits. However, how many of these hits will teach you how to overcome challenges in your life? Very few.

When we were born, we never received a manual with instructions on how to overcome difficulties that we encounter on a daily basis. If that were the case, our lives would be a smooth sale. Every day we face many challenges at multiple levels. These difficulties vary from having a hardship with others, society, God, or with ourselves. Nevertheless, one of the most difficult adversities is the battles that we fight on the inside.

So whatever your challenge is today, whether it is related to health, relationships, career, or finances it all boils down to one thing, and that is your relationship with yourself and how you feel on the inside and not about how you feel about the forces that lie outside of yourself. When you go through difficult times everyone around you will tell “you can do this,” “you can do that,” “you’ll come out of it stronger,” etc.. And I completely agree with them, except that when you are in that place where you hit rock bottom and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, it is hard to think in a positive way.

I’ve been there, done that, and I am talking to you from personal experience. All the words that you hear become an echo, it goes in one ear, out the other ear. Everything becomes blurry, and anything in front of you seems to be out of focus. So today I want to give you a tip that will empower you to overcome the difficulties that you are facing now.

Since it is Thanksgiving holiday this weekend, I want you to start by counting your blessings and what you are thankful for in your life. Depending on where you are in your struggle, it may not be easy to do so, but all I ask for is to list three things that you are grateful for this season. If you can think of more, even better. You need to do this for 30 days in a row so that you can change the energy of your thoughts and feelings. It may not be easy, but it is not impossible. You can do it.

If you need help starting your gratitude journal email me at: info@rajamishal.com to receive your complimentary copy of a 30-day gratitude journal.

Peace, Love, and blessings to all of you.
